Water meters are classified into several types?
1. Classification by Working Principle
Rotor water meters: Measure water velocity by converting water flow velocity into power velocity through an impeller. The impact of water on the impeller drives a transmission gear, rotating a pointer to measure water velocity.

Positive displacement water meters: Utilize a piston-type structure and measure by measuring the actual volume of the fluid, with a relatively low error of approximately 0.5%.

Propeller water meters: These are velocity-type water meters. Water flow impacts the impeller, and the speed of the reduction gears determines the water level at the pointer.

2. Classification by Meter Reading Method
Traditional mechanical water meters: Reading is performed visually by on-site personnel.

Electronic water meters: Reading is performed by viewing the LCD screen.

Wired remote water meters: Reading is performed by connecting to a flow totalizer, handheld reader, data collector, or concentrator, and the meter is read via a receiving terminal.

Wireless remote water meters: Transmit data to a terminal server via wireless communication modules such as 4G/NB/WiFi/Bluetooth.

3. Classification by Application
Residential water meters: Used for water metering in residences, office buildings, schools, hospitals, and other locations.

Industrial water meter: used in large industrial water-using places such as chemical plants, processing plants, and power plants.
